Cheerios® is once again accepting nominations for its Sisters Saving Hearts grant award. Now in its third year, Cheerios Sisters Saving Hearts grant-giving initiative will honor five heart-inspiring heroes who lead the fight against heart disease each and every day. In America, heart disease continues to be the leading cause of death among women, particularly among African-American women, who are at the greatest risk for cardiovascular disease than any other ethnic group.

From now until March 14, 2009, nominate those heart-inspiring individuals and service organizations that have dedicated their time, talents and passion to fight heart disease in the African-American community. Five nominees will win a $5,000 grant to the charity of their choice to help further their outreach.
